This an extremely impressive species which we were privileged to see in Sichuan in the spring of 2006. Long broadly lance-shaped leaves with large trusses of pink to white flowers in early spring. Best in part sun or bright shade out of the wind. Big and broad to 15' x 15' in 20 years. 10'-20' - moist - Mar-Apr - Z6 - pt sun/pt shade
