Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Digitalis parviflora 'Milk Chocolate' is an unusual perennial foxglove with spikes to just two feet tall of rich burgundy-red to brownish red, bell-shaped flowers. Unlike other members of the genus this species tends to be perennial. It will also self seed gently in the garden and pop up in delightful places. Popular with bees. Deer resistant. Sun loving Foxglove from Spain, more perennial than biennial, with a very different swagger - 24-30” spikes packed tightly with tiny tubes of mocha to red cocoa to chocolate brown that draw busy bees from miles around! Great pollinator plant. Reseeds gently. Do not eat. Average garden soil, can dry between waterings. Deer resistant.
