Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The Addams Family (snap, snap) seems pretty well represented in Australian ground covers, particularly Cousin Itt! The short form of Acacia cognata was released in the US as ‘Cousin Itt’ also. To avoid confusion, this Casuarina is ‘Cousin It’ as opposed to ‘Cousin Itt’…. Yep. I use this character in much the same way as the Acacia to soften retaining walls or large boulders. With a larger spread than the Acacia, this is more bang for your buck when larger spaces or features need to be covered.
