Striking evergreen fern from Japan, forms an outward spreading, vase-shaped clump 2’ high and wide. Fronds are dark green with tips that flip over backwards as they unfurl, hence the name ‘Tassel Fern’. Easy to grow in soil with organic matter, consistently moist (but not wet); happiest in dappled shade but takes part shade to full shade. Deer and critter resistant. Will grow in hot summer areas as long as soil is kept moist. Nice in arrangements.
