Well behaved east coast selection that makes a lovely shade ground cover, softly serrate leaves are marbled nicely with silver against reddish winter hues (evergreen to Z7), 4-6” tall spreading to about 2’. Happiest in part to full shade (sun will fade leaf coloration) in acidic, humusy, moderately moist, well drained soils…will tolerate some drought when established. Tiny, fragrant, light pink flowers in tight clusters burst in spring in plant centers.
