The name on this one keeps changing so uncertain of correctness, but the bronzed surfaces of these lobed leaves are showy and the backsides are bright red when the light shows through! Overall a cayenne chocolate experience….clumps to 12-15” tall with 4-6” wide foliage are quite attractive in a lightly shaded garden setting, in good, well-drained soil that’s not too wet in winter and that gets consistent moisture in the summer. Deciduous below freezing, mulch to protect rhizomes; evergreen in non-frosty environments. Haven’t seen flowers yet. Rare and choice.
