Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Different and very handsome! This strong-growing, rounded 15-20' tree has distinct, large leaves with 5 to 7 sharply pointed, double-toothed lobes. This tree is a sight in spring when the leaves emerge tinted orange-red and again in fall with its brilliant bright-red coloring. This fine specimen will tolerate some sun. S-PSh/M
Leaves emerge with orange and red highlights before they turn green. The very clean green leaves have red petioles. Fall colors are vibrant reds and yellows.
New foliage orange-red fades to red-green, then brilliant red fall color USDA zones 5-9
Omato has my favorite leaf shape: broadly ovate lobes on good sized leaves. The spring color orange tinged; the summer color is green and the fall color is various reds. The tree can reach 24' but is in no hurry to do it.
AMOENUM, green. This is a large leaved Japanese maple, similar to 'Osakazuki', with bright green leaves and a nicely rounded structure; almost as wide as it is tall. Leaves have five to seven lobes and are 2 to 3" long and 3 to 4" wide. In spring, the leaves emerge with a tinge of orange-red and turn again in the fall to brilliant tones of red. This is a strong-growing tree with leaves that have good substance and texture and a durable color that does not easily sunburn.
