Nursery contributed plant descriptions

An interesting ground cover with fern-like leaves and felt-like new growth. One of the few ground cover Dryandra that I grow. The plant can reach 3' tall and wide but this is not that common. The flowers are held deep in the foliage so you have to look hard to see them. The main reason to grow this beauty is for the foliage. New growth starts to unfurl in late spring with a rusty red fuzz. The mature leaves are more rigid with deep serrations. Prefers full sun to part sun with good air movement and drainage. No tip pruning is necessary during the early years as the plant forms a nice tangle on its own. Hardy to at least 26 °F.
