Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This small scale Dryandra is one of my favorites. I grow it for the tangle of long, lightly serrated leaves that make it standout out from any other plant it grows with. Leaves can extend to 12" and collectively move to their own rhythm with a bit of wind. The flowers begin to form after a few seasons and while terminal, tend to be semi-submerged in the foliage. This particular Dryandra prefers some filtered sun in hot locations. Expect growth to about 2' high by a little wider. Good drainage and air movement are key and it also adapts well to containers. Hardy to at least 26 °F.
