Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Acacia denticulosa or Sandpaper Wattle is one of several Acacias that we grow... because they're awesome! This particular one has rough leaves that resemble a course grit sand paper. Far from being a negative, it's uncommon for a visitor to the nursery to not rub the leaves between their fingers in amazement. The flowers appear in late winter and resemble a cluster of Cheetos. They're displayed at the end of branches and the show is Oscar worthy. New growth is a rusty felt color and all foliage (new or old) is attractive when backlit by the rising or setting sun. Easy, fast shrub most average sized gardens.
