Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Spikes of brilliant yellow, funnel shaped flowers are produced on new growth throughout the year on this naturally evergreen, tropical shrub-like perennial. Yellow Barleria makes for an easy to grow container plant in areas where frosts and freezes are common providing sunny color during the cool days of winter as well as summer. In hot summer climates we find that the foliage remains the darkest green where it gets mostly shade but good indirect sunlight is required for healthy growth. In areas with cooler summers it can be grown in more sun. The nearly 2" wide flowers attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds.
