Combretum constrictum is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with green foliage. In fall, spring and summer red flowers emerge. Attracts bees, beneficial insects, butterflies and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and regular - occasional water. Does well in average and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and humidity tolerant.

Dense spikes of intense red stamens that emerge from red, star-shaped calyxes are produced throughout the warmer months of the year or year round under tropical conditions. The Thailand Powder Puff, or Finger Lies on the Ground, is an unusual scandent (vine-like) shrub from tropical Africa. The showy flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies. The gray-green foliage is remarkably similar to that of the Pineapple Guava.
