Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Dainty coral pink, many petaled, tubular passionflowers are produced throughout much of the year on this small growing passion vine. The Pink Passion vine has smooth medium green bilobed foliage that often shows silvery variegation. A hummingbird pollinated passion vine with a small enough habit to be enjoyed in containers and baskets or on a sunny windowsill. We have yet to observe any fruit production on this species. The species, P. sanguinolenta, often produces deeper red flowers but is variable. It is likely that this is the same as the cultivar 'Maria Rosa' selected and introduced by Patrick Worley of Suncrest Nurseries.
