Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Beautiful bright peachy pink blooms are born in profusion in summer on this durable and compact oleander. The Petite Salmon Oleander is a reliable evergreen that is well suited to use as low maintenance evergreen hedge or as an easy and reliable container specimen. Easily handles hot and dry or coastal regions. Dwarf is often a general term when it comes to Oleanders and most resources state that 'Dwarf' oleanders reach 4' high when in truth they can in time reach 5,6,7, or 8' with age depending on the cultivar and particularly in mild winter climates. Compared to their larger growing siblings that may reach 20'+ these are the dwarfs of the clan. Periodic selective pruning may be needed to keep these plants in the 4' range as they can get larger with age, time, and warm winters. Their smaller stature and compact habit lends them perfectly as a tough reliable low evergreen hedge as well as wonderful choices for containers. Oleanders are extremely durable and reliable evergreen shrubs for mild winter climates and are especially well adapted to the mild coastal regions of the US. Salt tolerant, drought resistant, deer resistant, and adaptable to a variety of soil types although they do appreciate good drainage and seem to prefer a mineral soil over humus based soils. Oleanders also make excellent container specimens that are easily overwintered indoors in cooler climates.
