Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Tall, dense spikes of light pink, long tubular flowers are born on sturdy 2-4' high stems with narrow medium green foliage in summer. Like other species of Physostegia, Narrowleaf False Dragonhead are adored by hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. An excellent choice for a bog garden or any average moist garden soil. Physostegias will readily spread by underground rhizomes and may eventually create a dense ground cover-like effect.
