Edged in broad bands of creamy white the medium green foliage of the Mezoo Variegated Ice Plant makes a wonderful low trailing plant to add to mixed container gardens, in hanging baskets, or in the ground. This is a drought resistant succulent perennial that produces finely petaled deep rosy red flowers that contrast nicely with the variegated foliage. Provide a well-drained soil and at least some sun for the best growth and flowering in a well-drained soil. Can be overwintered indoors where not hardy or use it as a vigorous annual.
The Mezoo Variegated Ice Plant is a naturally evergreen perennial tropical plant and is considered to be hardy to near 25 °F for short periods although some resources suggest it is hardy into zone 8. Provide slightly more moisture during the growing season and keep it on the dry side during winter. A drought resistant perennial, the Baby Sunrose is also salt tolerant and deer resistant.
