Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Electric Purple Salvia produces electrifying dark royal purple, 2" long tubular flowers that emerge from black calyxes along black spikes throughout the growing season. So far it has been very similar to the hybrid Purple Majesty in flower, foliage, and form and we expect its hardiness to be similar as well. Provide a full to mostly sunny position in a rich, well-draining garden soil with average moisture. Electric Purple Salvia is most likely a hybrid of Anise or Brazilian Sage, Salvia guaranitica.
