Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Felicity bigleaf hydrangea brings us happiness with her double, ruffly sepals. She's considered a modified lacecap - something between the dome of a mophead and the flatness of a lacecap, with the sterile florets intersperse more amongst the fertile ones. Some of the pedicels of the sterile florets are longer than others so it has a dimensional quality. Flower colors range from creamy green/blue/lavender in the neutral to acidic range (educated guess) to a medium pink on those grown in alkaline soils (know the pH on pink because this is the color they are on our plants).
