Nursery contributed plant descriptions

From Chile comes this fun Calceolaria species (not a hybrid) forming sprays of good-sized, elongated, slipper-like flowers with maroon speckles. Calceolaria corymbosa was used as a parent for the more commonly known “Pocketbook Plant,” but is much taller - 1’-2’ tall. Semi-evergreen, basal rosette. Bloom time is late Spring to Fall. Plant in moist, rich soil in part shade. Excellent container plant.
