Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Architecturally arresting in a dry garden, on a slope, or in a container, this giant “Sotol” isone of the largest of its kind, reaching 4’ tall and up to 7’ wide! Lovely 1” wide, powdery-blue, serrated leaves radiate out from the center to form an elegant, grass-like spherical rosette. Once mature, it produces a 7’ tall flower spike topped with a dense club of creamy white flowers in Summer much loved by bees. Exceptionally drought tolerant, deer resistant, and low-no maintenance, this Mexican native just needs very good drainage and low-no Winter water. If planting in a container, plan to repot every few years. Although slow growing, it will require a half wine barrel sized container by the time it’s full grown.
