Nursery contributed plant descriptions

As far as I know, we are the first nursery in the U.S. to offer this absolutely astounding GIANT Brazilian Lobelia! Big and handsome tropicalesque Spring-green rosettes reach 3’ tall and 40” across in the 1st year! Just a teaser for the marvel that awaits you its second year. Spectacular 8-10’ flower towers topped with 3’ flower spikes appear in Spring and continue blooming for 3 MONTHS with delightful 2", orchid-purple tubular Lobelia flowers. Ours produced at least 8 spikes (strong, upright and wind resistant) and brought out the hummers, butterflies and bees! Native to forest margins of Eastern Brazil, provide rich, well-drained soil and 1/2 day sun for perfect appearance. Supposedly hardy to 25-28 degrees F - ours powered through mild frosts last Winter. Great in a large container, too.
