The ideal Viola for hanging baskets.Forms a tidy, cascading mound of foliage up to 8” high and 15” wide that spills gently over the edge of containers without getting leggy. Blooms resemble vivid yellow butterflies on a velvety purple background and appear en masse from Spring into Summer (almost all year in our cool coastal climate!). Deadhead regularly to prolong bloom season. Flowers are edible - try floating a few in your lemonade, brushing them on sugar cookies, or making flower syrup! With this prolific bloomer you’ll have plenty of petals to use however you like. Evergreen in warmer areas. Protect from hot afternoon sun and provide rich soil for best health.
