Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Generously donated to us by the wonderful Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden, we are so glad to offer this rarely seen and rather hardy S. African bulb. Blooming 3 months straight from July to September, just when our gardens often need a little pick me up, this carefree gem will make a nice clump to 3’ across within several years. Enchanting 1.5” peachy-pink flaring trumpets with pretty little yellow markings dance on one-sided, thin but tough, wiry “fairy-wand” stems. EASY-peasy, just give it rich, well drained soil. A harmonious companion to long blooming Wahlenbergia ‘Blue Cloud’or good old Agapanthus. Lovely along a path and a welcome addition to a mixed garden. Deer resistant! Deciduous.
