Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A delicious, straight-necked summer squash, buttery yellow with creamy white flesh, ‘Cube of Butter’ has received rave reviews for flavor as long as the fruits are picked before they grow to 10” long. Excellent in stir-fries or roasted on the grill. Low-growing with an open bush habit, the stems have few prickles, making it easy to harvest the squash. Yellow squashes are notoriously susceptible to powdery mildew, but ‘Cube of Butter’ is resistant, making it possible to harvest squash over a long period of time. Grow in full sun in fertile garden soil & keep well watered.
