Senecio candicans 'Angel Wings' is an arrestingly beautiful plant with large, silver-white, gently ruffled, velvety leaves with toothed edges forming dramatic mounds of eye-catching foliage. It has all the drama of a succulent while begging you to caress its soft, fuzzy leaves like it was your new pet. Easy to grow in the garden or containers, some reports are also suggesting it can be brought indoors as a houseplant in regions where it isn't hardy. Forms mounds up to 16 inches high and wide. Produces clusters of bright yellow, button-like flowers.

Senecio candicans 'Senaw' is a show-stopping, tender perennial displaying brilliant, silvery-white, velvety oval leaves to 5" across. Makes an impressive clump with time. Senecio Angel Wings® prefers bright light to mid-day and regular water and filtered light during hottest part of the day. Plant in a well-drained, moist soil but not waterlogged. Protect your PRINCE OF PARADISE from frost!

The “IT” plant here at the nursery this past year! Brilliant silvery-white velvety heart-shaped leaves to 5” across, perfectly arranged in a multi-level rosette make a dramatic highlight accent in a garden or container. Ours grew to 14” tall and 18” across in year 1 and grabbed massive attention in our garden above. Though it looks like and is often touted as drought tolerant, here in our mild climate gardens we found it thrived happily in rich, well-drained soil with regular water. It tended to wilt in less fertile, drier gardens. If you your winter conditions are excessively wet or dip under 20 degrees F, just pot it so you can move it indoors for the winter!
