Nursery contributed plant descriptions

THE WINNER of the most intense blue flower contest goes to this terrific Salvia hybrid reared by everyone's favorite Salvia-ologist, Betsy Clebsch! Lots of attractive, strong, branching spikes rise to 2' above the handsome 2' x 2' foliage mound, flaunting those electric sirens of sapphire from summer to fall. Densely clumped, big, velvety, bright emerald, almost tropical leaves add foliar and textural interest anywhere it’s planted. Do provide rich, well drained soil and cut back in winter. Butterflies and hummers. Deer resistant!
