Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Last year, we collected and grew out seed from Salvia 'Dyson's Orangey-Pink' which may or may not have crossed with other Salvias in the nursery. Big smiley faces all around at the great range of new colors, one of our favorite offspring being this one, with clear light primrose yellow blooms. As abundantly blooming as its parent, its cloud of 1" blooms comes in handy when conjuring up color combos and, of course, it's great in moon gardens. Compact and tidy to 3' x 3', it's another easy, long lived, long blooming, drought tolerant, front-of-bed perennial. Hummers, yes! Deer, no! Well-drained soil with some compost mixed in.
