Nursery contributed plant descriptions

An EXCEPTIONALLY beautiful Chinese daikon-type radish with a sweet, mild flavor whose hum-drum white & green exterior hides an extraordinary hot-pink interior! Wonderful for roasting, mashing, or stewing – but most commonly eaten raw as its beautiful color is often lost when cooked. Generally reaching a near-spherical 2-4” wide - the flavor becomes sweeter & more mild as the size increases, so harvest when small if you prefer a spicier radish. Plant in late summer-fall spacing 4” apart in rich garden soil. Great in a container! Ready for harvest in 60 days.
