Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A flower for flower lovers! The 2” blooms in thisromantic-hued mixcome in a range of colors including brilliant solid purpley-pink, pink with white streaks, white with purple edges, and countless variations thereof - The blooms on no two plants are exactly alike, but ALL are extra ruffley andgorgeous!Romantic, old-fashioned and really cheerful they makestellar cut flowers, lasting up to 10 days! For that reason, floral designers love ‘em, and they are a mainstay in bridal bouquets and boutonnieres, but I think they look best as a single architectural bloom in a simple vase. Corms aren’t fussy about soil, but they do like it well-drained. Plant in Fall for Spring bloom in mild Winter areas. Forms a 6”x6” apple green mound of foliage that goes Winter deciduous where hardy. Elsewhere, lift and bring inside for Winter, or grow them as a Summer-blooming annual. Deer aren’t typically interested.
