Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A very late flowering primrose with fluorescent crimson-purple, yellow-eyed flowers in worlds around 2 ft stalks. This plant blooms for us May to August! Prefers rather damp soils so is at home in a moist woodland or even pond side; sun to light shade... A secret rave!
Check out Annie's favorite Primula - this lofty, lovely candelabra primrose comes to us all the way from China & we’re all just smitten! This TALL, sturdy, beautiful species sports charming whorls of 1” magenta flowers that grace elegant, extended 18” stems. This gorgeous EVERGREEN (that’s right, EVERGREEN!) sports leaves that are a lustrous, almost shiny green – so very striking! Will put on the greatest show in rich, fairly moist soil. Bloom spring thru fall. Grows to 18” tall in flower (8” without) to about 1’ wide.
