Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Lovely and low-maintenance Osteospermums were the stars of the California drought here in the Bay Area, where they proved themselves more tolerant of drought, deer and abject neglect than anyone imagined – their lovely flowers brightening up even the most neglected flower beds nearly year round. Growing to a little over 1’ by 1’ with a rounded form, ‘Sunny Cambria’ produces velvety, plum colored blooms over a long season – spring thru fall when deadheaded! Needing little more than excellent drainage and an occasional drink of water – this beautiful, bloomiferous perennial adds sumptuous hues to the garden or a container. Attracts butterflies. Lovely in floral arrangements. Protect from frost. Drought tolerant once established. Well worth growing as an annual in colder climes.
