Leucadendron tinctum is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with green foliage. In winter pink, red, white and yellow flowers emerge. Features fuzzy texture. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in acidic, average, gritty, lean and well-drained soil.

A reliable low-maintenance dry landscape plant that always looks amazing. To-die-for fuzzy evergrey-green leaves form a dense rounded shrub 4-6’ high & wide. Flowers appear in Winter - Female plants produce shiny red flowers surrounded by pink-blushed bracts while males have bright yellow balls & pale yellow bracts. Both are equally lovely, last ALL SEASON LONG, & make wonderful floral arrangements (fresh or dried). A super easy & long-lived plant in our Summer-dry climate. After a few years of average water it will need little to no additional water. Provide excellent drainage & no fertilizer please! Just an annual mulch of pine needles will keep it perky. Excellent in containers. Pick up a few & see if you can’t make a breeding pair!
