Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A profusely blooming California native with brilliant raspberry-red flowers. Blooming in Spring and repeating in Fall (even in the coldest cold areas) this adorable, drought tolerant, hardy as heck, evergreen sweetheart is just so perfect for small containers, edging for the border, or as ultra-colorful additions to a rock garden. Forms a ground-hugging 6” rosette of leathery dark-green leaves densely packed with 1” flowers. Handles cold, and wet winters as well as plenty of heat, and is even deer resistant! Provide exceptional drainage in sun to part shade, and low water (avg. water ok in full sun). Really thrives with some high quality compost. Pollinating insects love it!
