Originating in South Africa, it is at home in mild winter summer dry climates like California, & naturalizes easily without getting weedy. However, it is frost tender & must be brought to a cool & bright place in your house in cold winter areas. Fortunately, it is very suitable for a pot & grows quite happily in a sunny window. Avoid watering during its Summer dormancy.
