Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Vivid yellow,Frangipani-scented,1” flowers form loose clusters on this glossy-leavedevergreen treein late Spring to early Summer. Native to the eastern Australian rainforests – it has become a beloved street tree in much of Southern California. While its full size can vary drastically (from 12-40’ tall & less than half as wide), it always maintains a slender form, making it perfect for small gardens, side yards, or along the street. Especially attractive in groupings, plant in rich, well-drained soil. Protect from hard frosts & water deeply & regularly for the first several years, after which it should be fairly tolerant of cold & only need occasional water. Pinch or lightly prune branches back annually when young to encourage strong central growth & a bushier habit.
