Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This is an exceptional vine for shade gardens. Its distinct purple-green leaves have 3-5 leaflets with handsome silver veins embellishing them. The foliage also features deep maroon undersides. This 25-35' vine develops remarkable ruby autumn color (better fall color in sunnier gardens) before dropping its leaves for winter. This gentle creeper is self-clinging, attaching to garden walls or trees without harming them. A perfect selection for low-light situations as it is able to thrive on north-facing walls or in woodlands. PSh-Sh/M
Silvervein Creeper is a better behaved and more beautifulcousin of our native Virginia Creeper. It has absolutely stunning foliage and won't outgrow a limited space. The red fall color of this self-clinging vine is very showy. A Brushwood favorite!
This species is less vigorous than its popular relative, the Virginia creeper. It is a deciduous climber, ideal for small gardens, where it will quickly cover an awkward area, such as a north or east-facing wall. Unless it is grown in a sunny spot, its autumn colour is less dramatic too, but in spring and summer, its leaves are very pretty - deeply divided, velvety and dark green with prominent white and pink veins. A versatile and handsome plant.
A vine growing to 15 ft. tall with foliage of an intriguing, almost variegated, venation. Prefers a shady spot, especially on hot or dry sites.
This lovely, self-clinging species with bronze to green leaves showing colorful silvery veins is often selected for its long period of intense red foliage in autumn. Inconspicuous flowers develop into dark blue fruit. Best grown on walls or on the side of a shed to add a French country flavor to the landscape.

Truly sublime with its silver veined leaves of brownish olive green. Red and orange fall color and sometimes blue fruit. Gently climbing vine to 15'
This parthenocissus species has dark green leaves with silver veins. There is also a definite purple cast to the underside of the leaves and petioles. The fall color is brilliant red. This is a small growing vine which does well in filtered shade like growing up a magnolia.
