Nursery contributed plant descriptions
Fab foliar interest for native and low water gardens! Thin, branching, reed-like wands on a very upright plant to 3’ tall, make “Baja Bush Snapdragon” a fun textural accent & an almost grass-like foil for larger-foliaged plants. In early Summer, slim, nectar-rich, 1.5” scarlet blooms appear at branch tips & are perfectly shaped to accommodate hungry hummingbirds! Native to the rocky cliffs & canyons of Baja California, it’ll be happiest in well-draining or rocky soil. Easily tolerates dry conditions along the coast, but looks better with some water inland. Easy & rewarding!
