Recently discovered in Peru by cut flower grower Ralph Cramer (thanks Ralph!), we were stunned by the size and insanely long bloom season of this enormous "Flamingo Feather". Easily reaching 6' tall x 4' across, you get hundreds of color shifting, violet-magenta-pink, 3" blooms on ruby-blushed stems lasting mid-Summer to end of Fall. Pinch back when it reaches 1' tall for a shorter, bushier appearance. Rich soil. Loads of cut flowers and butterflies!
