Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Orchid-like yellow flowers bloom from Summer thru Fall on this showy, sturdy 20-30’ high & wide tree. In early Summer this heavy-bloomer puts out huge pom-poms of vivid yellow outward-facing flowers that almost block out the bright green leaves! Large black seed pods follow lending Winter interest. Sturdy tropicalesque leaves are generally EVERGREEN, but can experience leaf-loss during cold snaps. While naturally very multi-branching, it is often trained to have a single trunk. Works surprisingly well in a container – though it will obviously remain much smaller. Perfect soil not required. Makes a gorgeous low-maintenance street tree!
