Aquilegia vulgaris 'Christa Barlow' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial with green foliage. In spring purple flowers emerge. Attracts bees, birds and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - dappled shade and even moisture - regular water. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something verticillium wilt resistant.

Blue-purple, SUPER DOUBLE, 2” flowers are perfectly edged in white for stunning contrast. An EASY TO GROW, old-fashioned fairytale Columbine, growing up to 30” tall & 18” wide. One of the first flowers of Spring with long-lasting blooms perfect for bouquets while the “jester’s hat” seed pods can be used in dried arrangements. Cut back to 1” after blooming to refresh the foliage. Prefers rich, well-drained soil. Compost twice a year for best health & bloom. Winter dormant in cold Winter areas. Self-sows for freebies – but is rather promiscuous, so expect some exciting surprises!
