We’re carrying SUCH a torch for this lovely, effortless performer! If you need to easily & quickly fill in a border or large container, look no further than this gorgeous South African native groundcover from the Daisy family. A long-lasting abundance of impressive 3” amethyst blooms mid-Spring thru late Autumn (deadhead for best show) attracts lotsa love from bees, butterflies & birds! Mounding, velvety minty/silver foliage reaches a tidy 1’ height & VERY quickly trails out to 2-3’ wide & often more, given the right conditions. While it prefers well-draining soil, ‘Torch Purple’ isn’t demanding - it adapts happily to chalky, sandy or clay-impaired soil. A treasure for water-wise gardeners, its drought tolerant, although a bit of regular watering during the hottest days will be welcome. An evergreen perennial in mild climates - don’t fret if you’re in USDA zones 9a or lower - as an annual, it’ll stick around in full regalia until first frost & it self-sows readily.
