Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Sought after for its sophisticated 5” umbels, Ammi visnaga is a florist’s dream! Gazillions of snow-white petals come together to form gorgeous coral-like blooms from early Summer to Fall that seem to float atop an ocean of frothy, filigreed green foliage (equally gorgeous in bouquets) to 3’ tall x 18” around. Especially pleasing to pollinators, it’s EASY to grow and self-sows when happy. Adaptable to a variety of soil types (even CLAYish), it’s happiest and most outstanding in rich, well-drained soil with regular water. Perfect for filling in and softening mixed beds and pulling your garden vignettes together! It also has a wide variety of herbal and medicinal uses, including as an essential oil to treat bronchial problems. Caution: The sap from this plant can cause skin irritation or blisters, wear long sleeves and gloves when gardening around it.
