This very rare South African bulb is related to Ornithogalum. Albuca batteniana eventually forms an above-ground bulb from which emerge 3’ long, strap-like, bright green leaves. The flower spikes bear numerous lightly scented, lovely, white, rather starry flowers in Spring. Evergreen - but low or no Summer water is a requirement.
