Jasminocereus thouarsii plant details

One of many cacti known by the common name Candelabra cactus for the upright, branched structure resembling a candelabra. The stems grow in long, ribbed segments, lined in sharp spines, reaching over 20 feet tall. The large, fragrant, white to yellow flowers open very early in the morning, pollinated by bees, flies, and ants. The fruit that follow are maroon-red.

Jasminocereus thouarsii is an evergreen cactus / succulent or tree with green foliage. In summer chartreuse, white and yellow flowers emerge followed by red fruit. Attracts bees and beneficial insects making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in lean and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.
