Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Sedum ‘Dark Magic’ beautifully combines a short and upright habit with large red-purple blooms, and dark tinted foliage. A vase-shaped, open branching habit creates an attractive form. The flowers are clustered in a layered pattern reminiscent of clouds. Upright stonecrops are useful nearly year round: mounds of succulent new growth in early spring, structural upright clumps through summer, heads of showy flower heads in late summer and fall, and dried flower stems in winter. Use in the border and container, as a mass planting, and for cut and dried flowers. Provides seed for overwintering birds. Popular with bees and butterflies. Deer resistant.
Rich glossy dark purple foliage boasts large clusters of dark pink flowers atop a compact, well-branched plant. Blooms Aug.-Oct. Grows 12” – 15” tall and 16”- 20” wide. Full sun to part shade. Allow soil to dry between waterings. Tolerates dry soils and loves sun.
