Sedum ‘Dark Magic’ beautifully combines a short and upright habit with large red-purple blooms, and dark tinted foliage. A vase-shaped, open branching habit creates an attractive form. The flowers are clustered in a layered pattern reminiscent of clouds. Upright stonecrops are useful nearly year round: mounds of succulent new growth in early spring, structural upright clumps through summer, heads of showy flower heads in late summer and fall, and dried flower stems in winter.
