    Albizia julibrissin 'Summer Chocolate' PP13822 is a broadleaf deciduous tree with bronze, burgundy, chocolate and purple foliage. In summer pink flowers emerge. Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established.     A fast growing small tree with fine textured burgundy-bronze foliage and puffy pink flowers in summer. It does very well in the southern states despite summer heat and humidity, and makes a stunning container subject in colder climates. We have successfully wintered this over in southeastern MA (zone 6), by siting in a protected south facing spot in front of a stone wall, although it does get some dieback. We've also wintered 'Summer Chocolate' over in an unheated frost frame without any problem. 1-2' spring shipping size.
