Epimedium wushanense 'Super Mottle'

This is a very large, clumping Epimedium selected and named by Plant Delights Nursery. Large leaves have a striking mottled pattern of green and red when young. Flowers are pale yellow and cream. Can rebloom two or three times with new spikes appearing as the old fade. Not the same as 'Xera's Super Mottle', selected by Xera Nursery and initially named 'Super Mottle' before being renamed to distinguish it from the earlier-named 'Super Mottle'.

Epimedium wushanense 'Super Mottle' is a broadleaf evergreen perennial with green, red and variegated foliage. In spring cream and yellow flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with bright shade - shade and regular - occasional water. Drought tolerant once established. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in average, clay, rich, rocky and well-drained soil.
