Carex leersii plant details

Carex leersii is a fast-growing evergreen perennial grass (or grassy in appearance) with green foliage. In summer tan flowers emerge. Features grassy texture. Grows well with mostly sun - bright shade and regular water. Does well in average and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something verticillium wilt resistant.

Nursery contributed plant descriptions

One of my proudest discoveries! Really sharp looker. Interesting vase like habit of flowing fine textured foliage. Forms a large clump very quickly. Interesting seed heads reach out as they flow away from the center of the plant. I have a row in full sun and its doing wonderful. I haven't tried it in shade yet, but it seems that most Carex species are quite adaptable.
