x Mangave 'Mission to Mars' PP29393 is a broadleaf evergreen cactus / succulent with burgundy foliage. In summer green flowers emerge. Grows well with sun and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in gritty, lean and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something verticillium wilt resistant.
Mangave 'Mission to Mars' PP29393 (Mission to Mars Mangave) - a striking, colorful, and fast-growing succulent plant that forms a rosette up to 3 feet tall by 3 to 4 feet wide. Its gracefully recurved leaves, measuring about 2 feet long by 3 inches wide, are thick and rubbery with a gray-green color heavily spotted with red dots, reminiscent of Mars' surface. The leaf margins are adorned with cinnamon-colored teeth.
Best planted in full to part sun, where its red coloration is intensified by bright light, in well-drained soil with occasional to regular irrigation. While its hardiness is not yet confirmed, it is speculated to withstand temperatures below 20°F, potentially suitable for USDA Zones 8 and above.
This Mangave variety promises to be an excellent choice for large containers or garden landscapes, adding a unique color to any setting.
