Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Lycium ruthenicum, the black goji berry, is a super food packed with nutrients plus healthful flavonoids and anthocyanins. The purple-black fruit is produced in such quantity that it turns this upright shrub to six feet into a weeping shrub. Eat the fruits fresh, dried or as a tea. Self-fertile but the presence of a second plant might result in heavier crops on both plants. Also known as black fruit wolfberry, siyah goji, and Russian box thorn. Popular in Chinese and Tibetan traditional medicine where it is known as ???? or hei guo gou qi. Very drought tolerant.
